Born from the enthusiasm, time, speed and distance at a glance readable, Tachymeter- and Telemeterskalen were used already decades ago with Junghans. With the Master Telemeter, the Junghans watch factory revives this passion in the classic line.
It has always been a fascination to make speed and distance measurable using exact numbers. The function to read at a glance through sound speed distances - for example a approaching thunderstorm - was introduced thanks to Telemeterskalen in the middle of the 19th century. With the development of racing at the beginning of the 20th century, the desire to measure the time accurately and to determine the speed with the aid of tachymeter scales was increasingly developed. In the 1930s Junghans put this desire into practice and produced stopwatches with an integrated tachymeter scale. In 1951, the Schramberger watch brand finally designed a functional bracelet chronograph, which indicated both speed and distance measurements by means of the telemetry and tachymeter scale.

And tachymeter scales provide the desired information on the measured distance or distance traveled. The result is a timepiece that has been interpreted in a contemporary way and is a new masterpiece from Junghans with its combination of classicism and sporty dynamics.

The historic models are equipped with the Junghans J88 hand-held schrono. Too bad that Junghans does not revive this work.
